Empowering Parents Through Workshops
At Family Support Consultants, we believe in empowering parents through engaging and informative workshops. The 2 - hour VIRTUAL workshop presentation focuses on providing skills, knowledge and understanding about the transitional phase of your child/children being placed in foster care.
At the end of the workshop presentation, we also create a supportive and safe space for parents to have a question and answer session through our ONGOING monthly SUPPORT GROUP and REUNIFICATION COACHING . You must have taken THE EMPOWERED PARENT workshop to be part of our ongoing monthly support group sessions and contiued reunification coaching, support and guidance specific to your child welfare case.
The "Empowered Parent" Workshop
The EMPOWERED PARENT WORKSHOP provides you with all the information you need to empower you in your parental role and responsibilities as you prepare for the return of your children back into your care. The workshop assist you in facilitating, navigating and expediting the reunification process with your children , ensuring that you remain on track with your service plan.

HELP!!!!! my child has been removed - Knowing my paretal rights and responsibilities for the return of my children- Can a family or friend care for my child (Kinship) - mastering self advocacy - Who is Who on my child welfare case - My role in Parent- to -Parent meeting - knowing the foster care agency responsibilities to me and my family -- attending Family Team Conferences - productive and quality family Time Visits - Co-parenting with my Child's caretaker - Having competent legal representation and how to show up in family court - Are my actions and communication hurting my case - Steps to resolve conflicts - completing my service plan - Legal advocacy Services - reunification preparedness TIPS - Parental Support Resources and so much more.

Supervised Visitation Services
For court-ordered visits, we provide supervised visitation services to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for a parent to have visits with their childen. Our trained staff is dedicated to facilitating positive interactions during these visits and promoting healthy family relationships. We provide court reports and update and also testify in court as needed.

Faith Based Individual Counseling Services
Faith Based counseling is offered at request of clients
Family Support services realizes that while clinical counseling provides it's much-needed therapeutic services to individual and families, others may also desire the added component of counseling though a FAITH-BASED APPROACH. We offer counseling services that assist in exploring and understanding how your Faith as a strength based family dynamic, impacts the well-being of family life decisions and outcomes.
Services are provided to Individuals on a Sliding Scale Fee Based on Income.

Are you in need of some assistance with basic needs for your family? Our Family support Services provides families experiencing financial hardship with funds. We also provide small business startup grant. You may receive assistance for the following:
