Parent Empowerment

Your voice matters in the life of your child. Your child maybe in another home placed in foster care but your parental role remains the same.  Descisions on their mental, emotional, physical and educational wellbeing still needs YOUR VOICE. 

 

Parent Advocacy

Knowing your Parental Rights  is your Right to know.  You have legal Rights - Some of your basic Rights are you have Rights to legal representation, You have a Right to visits with your child, You have Rights to all information about your child, from the school, medical doctor, Mental Health provider and to know that all their basic needs in the foster home are are being met.  

Family Reunification

Reunification Coaching supports your reunification readiness for your family to be reunited. Reunification coaching guides you through the process of your child transitioning into foster care as we assist you to remain on track with your service plan.  We also assist  you with navigating the Family Court preceedings of your case.

FOUNDER AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR:   

Ann Elliott  is the Founder and Executive Director of The Family Support Consultants. Ann Elliott is a Graduate of the City College of New York with a BA in Sociology. She has a Master of Science from Concordia College of New York from which she graduated with Honors in 2017 and received the Young Alumni of Distinction Award in 2019.  She is a member of New York Women’s Chamber of Commerce, Women in Black of the Greater New York area, a member of The International Society of Female Professionals. and a member of the Supervised Visitation Network. Ann worked as social worker in New York City Child Welfare for over 25 years and has Empowered, Coached and Mentored women who have their children placed in the foster care system. She has worked in several roles such as Foster care Intake Staff, Aftercare,  KinGAP coordinator, Treatment Family foster care,  Family Connections, Family Team Conference Facilitator and is Solution Based Casework Certified. She provides court mandated Supervised Visitation Services on custody court cases. She also provides Reunification Coaching Services to birth parents of children in foster care.
